A man asked the Prophet , "What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet replied, 'To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not Know.

Narrated Abu Burda:

from his father from his grandfather that the Prophet said, "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people asked, "O Allah's Prophet! If someone has nothing to give, what will he do?" He said, "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked, "If he cannot find even that?" He replied, "He should help the needy who appeal for help." Then the people asked, "If he cannot do that?" He replied, "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds and this will be regarded as charitable deeds."

LARGEST 'AMAL' nasheed SHOWCASE IN MALAYSIAN book of RECORDS

Landslide tragedy that befell the Orphanage House and the Children of Al Hidayah Islamic Al Taqwa, Hulu Langat on May 21st have touched the hearts and minds of all walks of life in Malaysia. Sympathy and willingness to help whenever assistance is needed, no matter in what form it comes pouring forth.

This feeling is also shared by the judicial council Nasyid Malaysia or better known as MUNSYID MALAYSIA . Following a visit and presentation program for victims of the tragedy that took place on May 27th Azwen Valley Resort, Malaysian Munsyid consists of nasyidians, musicians, activists and fan clubs have taken the initiative to join forces in order to achieve At-Taqwa Showcase Martyrs. This Showcase will be held on June 11, 2011 , held at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam , Selangor.

Showcase At-Taqwa Martyrs specifically aimed at raising funds to help victims of the incident. The program tentatively started as early as after Asar prayers with mini showcase at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam. After praying Maghrib and Isha prayers at Masjid Negeri, the program will followed by presentations by nasyidians, percussion, fund raising, and the presentation ceremony to be held at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam. Highlights of the event will begin at 9:00 pm and is scheduled to end around 11:00 pm. This event is open free of charge and visitors can donate through the tubes provided.

This program can be regarded as the largest showcase ever held in charity with more than 50 artists involved let it be solo or in groups accompanied by professional musicians. Although the program is planned in a very short time (less than 2 weeks) the support and cooperation of the nasyeed community have been very good. They are not only willing to perform for free but to contribute in the form of money, time, manpower or equipment and facilities without any payment. The program is also supported with full cooperation from the Shah Alam City Council, the Association of Orphan Malaysia, the Malay Heritage Corporation and Indigenous Affairs NSW (solid) and friends, especially the electronic and print media IKIM FM radio that acts as an official broadcaster.

The organizer invites any person or corporation to voluntarily contribute at the same time realizing this noble effort. They will be given space and opportunity to submit their own contributions to the representative of the orphanage in the showcase.

Hafiz Ibn Kathir (Rahimahullah) in The Signs Before The Day of Judgement (pg. 14):

"Awf ibn Malik reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, 'The Jews split into 71 sects: one will enter Paradise and 70 will enter Hell. The Christians split into 72 sects: 71 will enter Hell and one will enter Paradise. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, my Ummah will split into 73 sects: one will enter Paradise and 72 will enter Hell.' Someone asked, 'O Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), who will they be?' He replied, 'The main body of the Muslims (al-Jama'ah).'

Where should I begin? I am writing out of dejected feeling I had lately. I’m afraid I don’t have the capacity to take action into what had happened and pray that my family is protected with such confusion and misleading aggregation with such alliances we could never had anticipated that it is erroneous. With names used and people involved makes us more convinced that they are true enough to tag along.
How could this happen when only 1 prophet preaching to only 1 God had given us an extraordinarily precious gift of all time, the Quran and Sunnah to be used as an infinite guidance to lead our life from the day we were born until the day we die. Is it that hard just to follow whatever is inside the holy Quran than to create new things using our limited mind. Satan with hundreds and thousands of years of experience will lure us to stay far astray from the true path with every tactics ever imagined. If they couldn’t persuade us to do bad things successfully, then they’ll let us do the good things improperly. The most treacherous and silently absorbs into our life is things that looks right to our eyes but in fact it is the wrong. We wouldn’t apologize for something we didn’t know it’s wrong all along, wouldn’t we? Same concept goes here, where we will not repent to Allah for what we felt as not a sin or so we think. That’s the plan!
The true meaning of success is not based on how we comprehend today. We are so used to think that being successful is by being rich, having our dream job with big houses or big cars. How and when will we understand that it’s not that at all? It’s a life of test! Every single day and every single night...what have we done or what will we do then? Who we follow is not really important and at the end of the day, we alone will be accountable, responsible and answerable to God of our own wrongdoings, not whom we follow with all our heart....by that time, it’s too late to regret and repent. Enter Islam wholeheartedly, not leaving anything which not suits us behind and take things which only serve our desire into our life. Everything that happened to us is considered a test and is a proof of our ‘Iman’ towards Islam. This is the only valuable possession to save us in the hereafter.
So let us all be a true truth seeker with the guidance from the Quran and Sunnah, not just believing and following any people whomever they may be with whatever title they may hold or worst case from any books written by people who are still open to silly mistakes and not free from sin. The prophet (pbuh) himself whom we knew as free from sin repents more than 75 times a day and yet he was promised to enter heaven. Shouldn’t we as a layman who is open to flaw repent more than the prophet? May Allah SWT guide us to be in the true path and not being persuaded into following the wrong team/organization.
Who amongst us did not want to go to heaven and be blessed to exploit all the offerings as a reward and is permanent?! Lasting forever and ever...that’s an incredibly long time, don’t you think? Compared to our lifetime here in the world, it’s only 60 years approximately, the longest might be a century if God wills. Even the devil didn’t want to go to hell, seriously....that’s the worst place to return to and is permanent as well! We will not get use to the hardship and will not endure the pain forever!
I am not angry at anyone nor am I trying to spread hatred amongst ourselves, just a little reminder to myself and to others who is kind enough reading this to be extra cautious in this test. There’s nothing to lose if we try everything we have in this world to be in the right path, for there is no way we can turn back time and save ourselves in the hereafter without being in the true path. Try to reserve any school of taught that is strapping in our mind for it might be the reason we lack behind. Fail to plan is planning to fail and the result of this examination will be all our deeds in this world, be it a good or bad including our intentions which haven’t being done will be calculated and punished as fair as it could be, better than any court human ever seen.
Let’s concentrate on our mission in life more than our greed for wealth and anything else in this world. Don’t judge people because we are not in the position to punish anyone. Let it be in Allah’s will that human changes and do good deeds. Our purpose is only to convey the message from the prophet to the whole mankind, not adding anything which is not from him and the rest is up to Allah. May Allah bless us and choose us to be guided on the true path and safe us from the torment of hell fire and suffering in the grave. We won’t like it there...

Etiquettes of the Mobile Phone
Islam has never been opposed to advancement. However, certain advancements are such that together with their benefits come much harm. Whilst mobile technology and the mobile phone in particular has revolutionised the way we live, it is important that we utilise such technology appropriately.

Crude Manners
It is important to realise that there are certain etiquettes of speaking on the phone. For example when calling someone, many people do not first ask the person they are calling whether it is convenient for them to speak at that very moment. They simply begin a long conversation without any regard for the inconvenience they cause the person they have called. There are yet others who, whilst in the company of others, answer phone calls and begin to casually converse with whoever has called them. Doing this is akin to turning your face away from those in your company whilst in the middle of a conversation and engaging in conversation with someone else without any explanation or apology to the first. Such behaviour is indeed inappropriate and a reflection of crude manners.

Robber of Time
The mobile phone, whilst being a very useful item, can prove to be a robber of time too. People feel obliged to utilise the free minutes and texts they have within their contract. If one has an allowance of 500 minutes or 500 texts within his talk plan, it is not necessary to utilise all these minutes or texts. By calling people or texting them only to use up the allowance, we are wasting valuable time which could have been utilised in productive activities.

Text Messages
Nowadays, many people send 'Jumu‘ah Mubarak' text every week to friends and associates. The contents of many of these texts are not authentic and sometimes not in line with Islamic teachings. One needs to be cautious before forwarding any message of this nature. Many people forward these messages just because they apparently sound good irrespective of the message being incorrect. Do not forward any message until you are sure of its authenticity.

If you are keen to propagate the beautiful teachings of Islam by using the text facility then make sure it is something beneficial, correct and authentic. Moreover, the day of Jumu‘ah should not be fixed for this; any day and every day should be made mubarak by conveying a piece from the teachings of our beautiful dīn.

Name at the End of Text
Whenever you send a text message, it is important to write your name at the end of the text, because it is possible that the person you are texting has not saved your number on his mobile. As a result, he will be confused and inconvenienced when he receives the text due to not knowing who the sender is.

In The Masjid
When attending the masjid one should switch off his mobile. Failure to do so will result in one being disrespectful to the house of Allāh as well as being a means of disturbance to others if the phone were to ring. It is prudent not to even leave the phone in vibration mode. In this situation if the phone were to receive a call during salāh, not only will it divert the phone owner's attention it will also disturb the person next to him. Many people immediately after the completion of salāh check their phones for possible missed calls or messages. This shows that although one was physically standing in the court of Allāh, mentally he was elsewhere. Thus we should switch our phones off before entering the masjid and not pay attention towards them until we leave.

Haram Sharīf
Many people would not even dream of answering a phone call whilst in the masjid when they are in their localities. However we observe the very same people freely using the mobile phone in the Haram Sharīf in Makkah and Madīnah. One should make a firm resolution and refrain from this for this leads to neglect and many other wrongs whilst in blessed places.

Musical Ring Tone
We should make sure that we have an appropriate simple ring tone on our mobile phone. To keep a musical ring tone is harām as the playing of music, or being a means of it being played is a sin. It is quite unfortunate that even when in Haramayn Sharīfayn whilst performing tawāf or presenting salām to the Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam, the musical tones of mobile phones are heard.
This is harām and a major sin. Safeguard yourself from such things that distance you from the Creator.

'Islamic' Ring Tones
The adhān, salām, tilāwah of the Glorious Qur’ān, nāt and nashīd are used as ring tones by many on mobile phones. The adhān has a set time and a purpose and should only be announced at the time for the stipulated purpose. Salām also has a specific purpose which is to greet one another. The Glorious Qur' ān is the word of Allāh and has been sent for guidance of mankind. The Shari’ah has stipulated many rulings in regard to this great book. Nāt and nashīd are recited to inculcate and increase the love for our beloved Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam in our hearts. None of these should be used to inform us that someone is calling us. This is disrespectful. One should merely keep a simple ring tone for this purpose.

How Many Rings
If when ringing someone one finds that the phone cuts off after a few rings or diverts to an answering machine, then the caller may try again. One should retry a maximum of three times for it may be that the person was busy and as he approached the phone it stopped ringing and thus he was unable to answer. However, there are some phones that do not divert or cut-off and keep ringing. In such cases the caller should let it continue ringing for that duration which would be considered normal, approximately ten rings. If the call is not answered then put the phone down because not answering indicates that the person is either occupied or does not wish to speak. Do not cause inconvenience by compelling.

Mobile and Teachers
It is not permissible for teachers at madrasah or school to use the mobile during their working hours for the madrasah and the school has purchased that time from them. This time does not belong to them; it has become the property of the employing establishment.

Who is burning the Quran?

ON BURNING OF QURAN

Who is burning the Quran? A Christian priest? Ask a question, if I write the name of Jesus Christ on a piece of paper 29 times and give it to him to burn it, will he burn it? If I write the name of Moses on a piece of paper and give it to a Jew, will he burn it? What they intend to burn is the same. In the Quran the name of Jesus Christ is mentioned with great Honour 29 times and the name of Moses with dignity 129 times, while the name of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon all of them) is mentioned just 4 times. In addition all the 24 prophets mentioned in the Quran are there in the Bible. Make them aware that they are burning the names of Jesus Christ, Moses and all 24 prophets. The problem is none of them have ever cared to read the Quran. My request to them is to read the Quran’s translation in their own language (easily available free in mosques and in Islamic Centers) and then decide whether burning the Quran is justified or not. I may assure them that they will highly regret in their lives when at a later date they read it. All the allegations of immorality on Mother Mary, Jesus Christ and other prophets mentioned in different books have been very neatly refuted in the Quran. Mother Mary has been given the highest Honour amongst all the women of the World. Read it you will be enlightened. Birth of Moses and his marriage has been described in the most respectful manner. Not a single derogatory word has been used in the Quran for any of the prophets those mentioned in the Bible. Why burn the Quran? Burn those books in which baseless allegations have been put on many of the prophets of God. That will be fully justified. Once you read its translation, you will be convinced that it is the best book on earth, every word is of God, the God of Adam, Abraham, Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them all). Not a single word has changed in 1431 years. It is in its original, pristine form preserved in Turkey and in Leningrad .
It is totally a wrong concept that it was written by the prophet Muhammad (pbuh). How can a person who did not know how to read anything or write, can write a book of over 600 pages without any mistake, describing the advance theory of science and space? He could not even put his signature on the letters which he sent to the heads of states, he used to stamp them with a seal of his name. Moreover the Quran is in the highest literary form of Arabic language, which he did not speak; he used to speak colloquial Arabic. How can Quran be considered man made; a book which describes intricate embryological development of a fetus, space science, complicated oceanography and in over 1400 years no one has found any contradiction or any mistake? Every word of the Quran is the word of God, the same God of Adam, Abraham Moses and Jesus Christ. How can anyone even think of burning the words of your own God?
What is radical about Islam or the teachings of the Quran? Without reading it you call it radical! Bring a single copy of the Bible which is in its original form. What amount of changes is made in the Bible by men to the words of God? Who gave them the authority in the very first place to change the words of God, revise and re-revise the Bible? But still we do not call it radical. We also have appeal to the Muslims of the whole world don’t even think of burning a single copy of the Bible in retaliation because the Bible has the names of our 24 prophets whom all we respect from the core of our hearts.
Coming down to the most crucial point of 9/11: The allegation is again on the Muslim, so they decided to burn the Quran, stop building an Islamic Center in Manhattan near Ground Zero. Have a look at the documentaries made on the truth of 9/11. These documentaries are proved without the shadow of doubt there in the scenario of 9/11 in the year 2001, no Muslim was involved. In one of the documentary it said loud and clear that no Muslim is involved in 9/11 . Amazing, all the documentaries and films are made by Americans and that too Christians. Go through each and every documentary on U-Tube, you will be amazed, who did it - you have to decide yourself of course not any Muslim? The preparation was done three months before 9/11. If anyone considers these documentaries are not authentic, why can’t they take the producers to the courts and involve FBI to investigate how dare they can make such movie which has tarnished the image of America all over the world and the whole world had sunk in deep recession shattering the economy of all the countries. What benefit they achieved by doing so? Thousands of Americans were killed and even are being killed today. Trillions of Dollars have burnt in smoke, millions of innocent people were killed and other multimillions suffered. Why don’t these preachers of peace go after them who did it? Why Muslims and why Quran?

Celebrating the first 10 days and nights of Dzul Hijjah

Most Muslims very well know the blessings of the nights of Ramadan, especially the last ten nights. However, not everyone knows that the first ten days of the last month of the Islamic month, Dhul Hijjah, are equally packed with blessings.

Allah has provided Muslims numerous opportunities throughout the year to renew their faith and to encourage them towards acts of goodness by specifying such special days. So, we have another such opportunity that we shouldn’t let pass by just like any other period in time.

Allah says in the Quran in Surah Al-Fajr (interpretation of the meaning):

“By the dawn; By the 10 nights” [al-Fajr 89:1-2].

Most scholars agree that these ten nights refer to the first ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah. Ibn Katheer also had validated that opinion by stating: “This is the correct opinion.” [Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 8/413]

Ibn ‘Abbas reports that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said,

“No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these days [meaning the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah].”

Among the deeds recommended during those ten days are observing voluntary fasting, offering animal sacrifices (lamb, goat, etc.), sincere repentance, recitation of the Quran, staying up the night and finally praying the Eid prayers on the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah.

Hafsah reported, “There are five things that the Messenger (saws) never abandoned: fasting the day of ‘Ashurah, fasting the [first] 10 [days of Dhul-Hijjah], fasting 3 days of every month and praying two rak’aah before the dawn prayer.” [Related by Ahmad and an-Nasa'i]

Abu Hurairah relates that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, “There are no days more loved to Allah for you to worship Him therein than the ten days of Dhul Hijja. The Prophet (SAWS) commanded us to recite a lot of Tasbeeh (“Subhan-Allah”), Tahmeed (“Al-hamdu Lillaah”) and Takbeer (“Allaahu akbar”) during this time. ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (SAWS) said: “There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel (“La ilaaha ill-Allah”), Takbeer and Tahmeed.” (Reported by Ahmad, 7/224; Ahmad Shaakir stated that it is saheeh). So, as Muslims we should welcome the ten days of Dhul Hijjah with the same fervor and enthusiasm as we welcome the last ten days of Ramadan or any other blessed days in Islam. Lets make the most of it.

A Malaysian celebration as Cardiff City beats Norwich City

Malaysian supporters with the Jalur Gemilang during the match between Cardiff City Football Club and Norwich City at the Cardiff City Stadium yesterday.
LONDON: There was unmistakably a mood of celebration Malaysian-style that pervaded the Cardiff City Stadium yesterday when Malaysian-owned Cardiff City Football Club beat Norwich City with an impressive 3-1.

Cardiff City Stadium had never seen such a big contingent of Malaysian supporters in their national costumes, waving the Jalur Gemilang.

Another first was the announcements in Bahasa Malaysia as well as in Welsh and English.

To add to the jubilant mood, a Malaysian mascot, 5-year-old Isaad Nabil, in his baju Melayu, songkok and sampin, walked proudly beside Craig Bellamy, much to the delight of the spectators.

According to his father, Taufiq Shamsuddin, a PhD scholar at the University of Cardiff, Isaad was so excited that he could not sleep the night before the match.

Taufiq, from the Malaysian Students Society of Cardiff, had helped organise the gathering of Malaysian supporters from Cardiff University, Glamorgan and University of Wales Institute of Cardiff.

They came with their families and were certainly not disappointed with the outcome.

According to Taufiq, local Cardiff City fans were grateful for the enormous support from the Malaysian fans and by the financial support that would resolve the problem of the RM9.9 million in taxes that the club owed.

The money would also help to restructure the club's massive debts. The takeover by Tan Sri Vincent Tan and Datuk Chan Tien Ghee had earned the blessings of thousands of Cardiff City fans.

Salam to all...after a long break from writing here, I just want to share this video clip which we've done recently. It's from the new album of Fiq (Mentor) featuring Mirwana of course(who else)...this video took place in MMU's Creative Multimedia Faculty and it's a 1 day shoot from early morning 7am until 4am the next morning, plus minus breaks and such...I am amazed of the production team, whom are much younger yet very talented...they also did Vince's latest video, and we might book them in the future...
I had received a few negative comments regarding the female general in this video, though I have no control whatsoever of what the video clip was going to be, I agree with those who protested against the use of female character in the video as a means of attrative publicity and it really has an impact of our identity as a vocal harmony band who preach good values in our songs. I think they should think more carefully when dealing with this matter in the future. A picture tells us a thousand words, so how much more a video tells us then? It shows us that in the music industry, they don't really care about religious sensitivity as long as it satisfy a certain people viewing it.

Signs of the Day of Judgement: NASA confirms possibility of sun rising from the West

ARTICLE (April 09 2010): The science of astronomy states that the speed of planet Mars has been decreasing in its course toward the eastern direction in the past few weeks to the level we notice the "waver" between the east and the west and on Wednesday the 30th of July the planet movement stopped going toward the eastern direction.

Then in the months of August and September...Mars changed its course in the opposite direction to the West- and that until the end of September which means the sun will rise now from the west on Mars!! And this weird phenomena of the opposite movement is called "Retrograde Motion" Most scientist state that all the planets will go through the same once at least and our planet Earth is one of them. Planet Earth will move in the opposite direction some day and the sun will rise from the west!!

This might occur soon and we are unaware! The rise of the sun from the west is mentioned in the hadith and this is the major sign of the day of judgement, most if not all, the minor signs have occurred. Wake up. Our beloved messenger Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him) said: "One of the signs of the hour the sun will rise from the west, where no longer tauba (forgiveness) will be granted"

!!And the strange thing most of our Shariah scholars mentioned that the rise of the sun from the west occurs only once on that day the sun will rise from the west then again from the east and continues until Allah wishes and this is similar to what is happening to Mars it stops, then it changes its course of direction for a short period of time then returns to way once it was.

And Abdullah Bin Amro (R.A.) said: (I memorised from the messenger (SAW) a hadith I will never forget I heard the messenger of Allah (SAW) say: The first aya to come the rise of the sun from the west) [Ahmad]. And the messenger SAW "Allah places HIS hand at night to forgive his morning sinners, and places in the morning to forgive his night sinners until the sun rises from the west" [Muslim].

This piece of news is very important as it brings with it a great sign of warning and remembrance of the coming of a new WORLD - the world of he Hereafter When we show this hadith that was told 1400 years ago about this miracle..you will see InshaALLAH, a lot will revert to right path...And the Muslims if they see this phenomena happening in Mars who knows maybe it would bring them closer to our CREATOR. May Allah keep all of us in the right path and provide us with success in this world as well as in the hereafter.

Whenever I tried to alert Muslims to this, many looked at me like I was crazy, like I didn’t know what I was talking about…but I think you should know that I am a Muslim too. I have studied comparative religion, and have been heavily involved in critically researching various aspects of “new religions” for approximately 10 years to date.

Most of my, and my colleagues, findings are shocking to say the least. At first, even we found them hard to swallow. And then slowly, with each new day Allah (SWT) provided more and more wisdom to help us make sense of what we were uncovering. We have looked at banned footage, articles, interviews and various other research material.

What I’m about to share now, may seem like hogwash to many people, but all I ask is that you open your heart and mind to this information and before you say I’m crazy, I challenge you to go out and research for yourself.

So yes, we know that Masjid Al-Aqsa has been under siege for many years. Palestinian people have not known peace since the State of Israel was formed in 1947.

We believed it was because they’re Muslim, and because Israel wants their land, particularly the land on which Al-Aqsa is built. True. BUT DO WE KNOW WHY?

In order to find this out, we had to go way back in history and literally put the confusing pieces of the puzzle together.

To cram months of research into an email, is a hard task. But I hope to share pertinent stuff in a few short paragraphs. And hopefully, I shall provide food for thought as to the reasons behind the “WHY”.

We have uncovered much information to substantiate the following claims. We have gone back in history and our findings are pretty much black and white.

We have used primarily, the Quran, Bible, Hadith, and happenings in todays world as our points of reference.

So below, please find the following on Why the Israelis want to destroy Masjid Al-Aqsa:

3. What Islam warned us and the difference between Hadrat Isa (AS) and the Dajjal
4. Where is the original temple located

WHY DO THE ISREALI’S WANT TO DESTROY MASJID AL-AQSA??

THESE FEW POINTS WILL SUMMARISE KEY POINTS TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHATS REALLY GOING ON. AND TO DO THIS, WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE ORIGINS OF ANCIENT BELIEF SYSTEMS IN THAT REGION. EVERYTHING STARTED FROM HERE, AND THAT’S WHY ITS IMPERATIVE IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE BIGGER PICTURE.

PREDOMINANT BELIEF AT THE TIME + PROOF FROM THE QURAN

· There are Jews that believe in one god – praying properly etc
· Then there are Jews that are “ashkenazi” and those that believe in the origins of the Jewish religion. Prior to Judaism, the people of that land were Zionist. They believed in Zionism, which has its roots in a practice called “Kabala” (this is an ancient form of Jewish magic and is based on the principles of the occult and paganism ie: believing in gods and goddesses as well as satan). This practice was learnt from the ancient Egyptians prior and during the time of Moses (Musa AS). Further research proves that what they actually worshipped was Jinn.
· Jinn come in 3 forms, as the Quran tells us – in form of dogs or snakes, birds or flying, and that which shape shifts (can assume the shape of a man etc) – look at the ancient gods or pictures of them and you will see what I mean… the Egyptian “gods” were in those forms…head of a dog, bird etc etc etc…. same with the Annunaki ‘gods’ in Persia, and the gods worshipped by the Mayans, Aztecs, Incas and other ancient civilisations. In all ancient paintings, drawings etc, these Gods were all blue in colour. The Quran tells us that Jinn is created from the smokeless flame of fire – meaning the essence of a flame. So go ahead and light a flame, and you’ll see that the heart of that flame is BLUE. Jinn also live for thousands of years and travel very fast (which explains why all the ancient civilizations had similar looking “gods” at least one of whom was blue).
· The Quran warned us to never take Jews as our friends. Allah warned us that they would work to destroy Islam. And this is something we see happening.
· Muslims and Christians are awaiting the second coming of Jesus The Messiah. We also know that the Dajjal (the Anti-Christ / False Messiah) will appear before Jesus does. Jews also believe in a “second coming.” They are preparing for it. However, the interesting thing is that the Jewish faith does not recognise Jesus. Jews do not acknowledge Jesus at all. You fit the puzzle! If they do not acknowledge Jesus and don’t believe he’s returning, yet are awaiting a second coming…then who are they waiting for??

THE DAILY DIGGING UNDER MASJID AL-AQSA

There is no reasonable explanation, as it was noted only after the picture was taken.

So whats this got to do with Masjid Al-Aqsa then?

THE PROPHET SULAYMAN A.S. (SOLOMON) & THE SECRET HE BURIED

· Going back in history… Sulayman (AS) or (King Solomon), was responsible for building what is commonly known as the TEMPLE OF SOLOMON.
· Sulaymans (AS) rule was different from other prophets in that Allah (SWT) allowed him to rule over the race of man, and the race of Jinn.
· Sulayman was tasked with spreading Allahs word ie: the belief and worship in ONE god.
· It came to Sulaymans attention that groups of people in the land were still practicing magic and the occult. He ordered his guards to go throughout the land and confiscate every book, manuscript, tablet, or page that any occult or instruction to do magic or witchcraft was written on, as these TAUGHT people the practice of summoning spirits (Jinn).
· In Islam we know that this is haraam. Quran tells us that Jinn and Man must co-exist in parallel dimensions, but must not communicate with each other. Jinn are invisible, they can see us, but we cannot see them. There is no such thing as a “good” or helpful Jinn, because any Jinn that speaks/interacts with a human is directly going against what Allah commanded: NO CONTACT. And so it is vice versa.
· So, on Prophet Sulaymans instruction, they brought all books to him, and he then buried them where he thought they would be safest ie: no one could get / steal them.
· Where did he bury them?? In the foundations of the temple, under his throne! He appointed guards known as the Knights of the Temple of Solomon (Knights Templars) to guard the temple day and night.
· The Knights did this initially. When Sulayman (AS) passed away (May Allah grant him Jannah), The Knights discovered what it is they were guarding. They quickly realised the significance of this information, the practices and magic that they had at their fingertips. They stole it and began practicing. They moved completely away from religion and God, and immersed themselves under the power and influence of Iblees (Shaytaan). Due to the nature of their rituals, they quickly became the most powerful and wealthiest people in the land. (Recent interviews with members of the occult confirms that Satan rewards his followers with masses of wealth and material gain in this world, provided they do whatever he wants them to ie: spreading corruption, ungodliness and destruction on earth. Interviewees also said that Satan assures them, via his high priests and priestesses, that he is the real God – And that he is just misunderstood!).
· Subsequently over the ages, the manuscripts were smuggled into Europe, and the Knights Templars took on the name “Free Masons” – With this new found power, they quickly spread this knowledge across the world, in the forms of secret societies – ALL WITH A COMMON GOAL: To serve their “God” Satan, and to prepare for the arrival of the one-eyed Dajjal, who is Satans representative on earth. Their symbol is a pyramid topped by an “all-seeing” ONE eye! Please note that the ancient Egyptians also had the all-seeing one eye which they called the Eye of Ra, and the Eye of Osiris. Remember that the dark arts were learnt from the pagans of ancient Egypt. You draw the parallels!

THE BEING WITH THE ONE SEEING EYE IS WHAT THEY WORSHIP. AND ISLAM WARNS US AGAINST THE BEING WITH THE “ONE” EYE.

· Don’t believe me? Take a look at the back of the US Dollar bill – the all seeing one eye is there! Free mason symbology is everywhere. America is the worlds first Masonic state. There is plenty of research that support this claim, shocking evidence, interviews, geneology etc. “THE SECRET” KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNIVERSE WHICH THESE ILLUMINATI SOCIETIES CLAIM TO HAVE, IS IN ACTUALITY THE PRACTICE OF THE DARK RITUALS OF THE OCCULT. This is the “secret” they are always talking about in “mastering your future, creating wealth by asking the universe to give it to you etc etc, being spiritual, not religious etc…,” – this is a direct opposite to Islam where we place our faith and trust in Allah to provide for us.

So if the masons have got this “secret treasure” already - WHY all the focus on destroying Masjid Al-Aqsa?

Well, simply put, they are preparing for the arrival of their deity “DAJJAL”

WHAT ISLAM AND OUR PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW) WARNED US

1. Well, in Islam we know the Dajjal is the false messiah. Meaning – he will imitate the true messiah in every way. The true Messiah, Hadrat Isa/Jesus (Peace be upon Him) will come back to rule the world from JERUSALEM. So that’s where the Dajjal will be arriving: THE HOLY LAND, JERUSALEM. He comes back to his home.
2. Nabee Muhammad (SAW) told us that the Dajjal was released into the world during his (Rasoolullah’s) lifetime. Thus he has been on this planet since the time of Rasoolullah (SAW). We were informed that Dajjal will live on earth for 40 days (one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest like normal days. Remember 1 heavenly year is equal to a 1000 human years. You do the math). This proves that he is a powerful Jinn, as jinn can live for thousands of years.
3. All prophets of Allah warned their people about the false messiah.
4. Our noble Prophet (SAW) informed us with a description of Dajjal and warned us to know that Allah is not “ONE-EYED”.. Dajjal will also have the word Kaffir/Kuffar on his forehead. The Messenger of Allah, Nabee Muhammad (SAW) also warned, that any Muslim upon hearing of the Dajjals “arrival” should turn his back and walk away from Dajjal, not look in his direction, or walk in his direction. Don’t be curious as Nabee warned that even the strongest in Iman amongst us would be tested and could easily fall prey to Dajjal, as Dajjal is the Master of Deception.

The Zionists refer to the land between the Nile and the Euphrates as “their promised land.” Dajjal is their king, and in keeping with their occult belief, they have to resurrect the original temple for him to take his throne.

So where is this original temple of Zionism?

Archeological and historical evidence proves the ruins of the original temple of Zion is underneath the temple of Solomon. Meaning Hadrat Sulayman (AS) knew how evil this magic is, that he built his MOSQUE OVER THE ZIONIST TEMPLE. Simply because people praying in that Mosque, worshipping one true God is strong enough to override any evil that happened there.

THIS IS WHY THE JEWS/ZIONIST WANT TO DESTROY MASJID AL-AQSA! THEY NEED TO RESURRECT THE TEMPLE BENEATH. Its common sense, logic! The Dajal is inherently evil – so he will not be able to enter any paak or holy place. Meaning he cannot rule or enter any mosque, where the worship of one true God takes place.

The only place he can enter and rule from, is a temple in-keeping with his evil nature.

Muslims shocked to learn that crisps contain alcohol

Senior Muslim figures have said that they are shocked that a number of Walkers snacks contain traces of alcohol and eating them is therefore against their religion.

A tiny amount of alcohol is used in some products as a chemical agent to extract flavour.

The use of alcohol was discovered by Besharat Rehman, who owns a halal supermarket in Bradford, and reported in the Eastern Eye. Mr Rehman said: “Our suppliers were unaware of the alcohol. Walkers must make it clear on the packaging so customers can make an informed choice.”

Shuja Shafi, who chairs the food standards committee of the Muslim Council of Britain, said that he intended to investigate. “Certainly we would find it very offensive to have eaten food with alcohol.”

Masood Khawaja, of the Halal Food Authority, said that it had raised labelling issues and alcohol flavouring with Walkers before. “They should have looked into the matter and solved it instead of hiding behind labelling regulations. It does not matter what percentage of alcohol is involved.”

However, a Walkers consumer care team representative was unapologetic. She said: “There is not enough room on the packaging to list things beyond allergy-causing ingredients that can make people ill. A minimal amount of alcohol is used to extract the flavour of some crisps.”

Snacks that are likely to be boycotted by Muslims are Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli, Doritos Chilli Heat Wave and Quavers Cheese.

Sheikh Al Azhar dies at 82

Egyptian religious leader Sheikh Mohamed Sayed Tantawi, the head of al Azhar, has died during a visit to Saudi Arabia, Al Jazeeratelevision reported on Wednesday. Ahmed Ibrahim, director general of information in the office of Shiekh al-Azhar said "the Sheikh of Al Azhar (82 years) was heading to Saudi Arabia to attend the ceremony of awarding the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam.

In 1986, he was appointed as Grand Mufti of Egypt on his 58th birthday, 28 October 1986. He held this position for almost ten years, until he was appointed Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Mosque and Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar University by the Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak, on 27 March 1996. The Al-Azhar Mosque is one of the most influential and important Sunni Muslim institutions.

I wish a Happy Eid Al Fitr to all who will be celebrating it this weekend or Monday. may our deeds be accepted and we will be the people who really fear Allah as He is to be feared.

Eid Al Fitr is a day of joy and thanksgiving. On this day, Muslims show their joy for the health, strength and opportunities of life, which Allah has given them to fulfill their obligations of fasting and other good deeds during the month of Ramadan. It is considered unholy to fast on this day. It is also a day of forgetting old grudges and ill feelings towards other fellow men. It was during this month that the holy Quran was revealed. Eid means recurring happiness or festivity.The celebration at the end of Ramadan, 'Eid-ul-Fitr or al-Fitr (the Festival of Fast-Breaking) is a joyous occasion, similar to Christmas in its celebration with strong religious significance. The giving of a special charity for this occasion is obligatory. Muslims dress in holiday attire, attend a special community prayer in the morning, and visit friends and relatives.

Salam everyone and may you all have a great Ramadhan this year and may Allah accept our deeds and please with us for we can be in the paradise forever and never had to experience any torture in our grave nor in the hell...That's our ultimate goal which can be achieved by many means specifically designed individually for us to make use of...for example, there are people with extra energy to perform prayer but cannot stand fasting, so they can use it towards their advantage, people with lots of money can always give the money to charity and people with a genius IQ can always share their knowledge, there's always something to make use of our gift to please our creator, even for people that we think had nothing special can offer something to be rewarded in the hereafter....just try to be patience and live our life as a humble servant of God.
I'm very sorry for not updating my blog for quite some time because of a few unavoidable reasons...but now here I am, back again and ready to work..

Checklist - the last ten nights and days of Ramadhan

In this blessed month of Ramadan, we have now come to the grand finale – the last ten days of Ramadan that are even more blessed than the rest of Ramadan. In it is a night that Quran tells us is better than 1000 months (yes, months – not days).

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

There has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month which Allah has enjoined you to fast, during which the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained up. In it there is a night which is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.” Narrated by al-Nasa’i, 2106; Ahmad, 8769. classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 999.

So, in preparation for the grand finale, here is a checklist of some of the things that we can all do to make the remaining days of Ramadan work to our advantage –

1) Get in high gear for the next 10 nights and days –

Time is of the essence. Every moment counts. Whatever you need to do for the next ten days to make the most in Ibada, good deeds, reciting Quran, dhikr, making dua, etc., rewards are going to be multiplied. No one knew about the importance of these days more than the prophet (saws). Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the last ten days of Ramadan began, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stay up at night, wake his family and tie his lower garment tight. According to Ahmad and Muslim: he would strive hard in worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan as he did not do at other times.

Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Hurayrah said “When Ramadan would come, the Messenger of Allah would say,

Verily, the month of Ramadan has come to you all. It is a blessed month, which Allah has obligated you all to fast. During it the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are shackled. In it there is a night that is better than one thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good, then he has truly been deprived.)” An-Nasa’i recorded this same Hadith.

If we lose this opportunity, we get our next opportunity next year – assuming we are still around and are in good health and shape to make use of it. Even if we are – we have the past years’ sins on our shoulders and life’s normal trials and tribulations to face the coming year. So, there is no better time to ask Allah to make all that easier than NOW.

2) Get a Quran and recite as often as you can –

A few lines on this post can’t even come close to explaining the benefits and virtues of Quran. It is proven in the saheeh Sunnah that the Quran will intercede for those who read it at night, as Ahmad (6626) narrated from ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Fasting and the Quran will intercede for a person on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say, ‘O Lord, I deprived him of his food and his desires during the day, so let me intercede for him.’ And the Quran will say: ‘I deprived him of his sleep at night so let me intercede for him.’ Then they will intercede.” Narrated by Ahmad; classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jami’, no. 3882.

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said,

The example of a believer who recites the Qur’an is that of a citron (a citrus fruit) which is good in taste and good in smell. And the believer who does not recite the quran is like a date which has a good taste but no smell. And the example of an impious person who recites the Qur’an is that of Ar-Rihana (an aromatic plant) which smells good but is bitter in taste. And the example of an impious person who does not recite the quran is that of a colocynth which is bitter in taste and has no smell.” (Book #93, Hadith # 649)

As is stated in the hadeeth narrated by ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allah be pleased with them both), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Whoever recites ten aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will not be recorded as one of the forgetful. Whoever recites a hundred aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will be recorded as one of the devout, and whoever prays a thousand aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will be recorded as one of the muqantareen (those who pile up good deeds).” (Reported by Abu Dawood and Ibn Hibbaan. It is a hasan report. Saheeh al-Targheeb, 635).

3) If your sins are holding you to move forward, this is the time to get them forgiven –

First the bad news – In Musnad Ahmad it is narrated that Thawbaan said: The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) said:

A man is deprived of provision (Rizq) because of the sins that he commits.’” (Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 4022, classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah).

And now for the good news –

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Whoever spends the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, will be forgiven his previous sins.”

4) What to say on Laylat al-Qadr –

One of the best dua’s that can be recited on Laylat al-Qadr is that which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her). It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who classed it as saheeh, that ‘A’ishah said: I said: “O Messenger of Allah, If I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say?” He said: “Say: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb al-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are All-Forgiving and You love forgiveness so forgive me).”

5) Get in the class of the Pious People –

Allah has described the pious as follows (interpretation of the meaning):

They used to sleep but little by night (invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope). [Quran: Surah Adh-Dhariyat (17)]

And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, [Quran: Surah Adh-Dhariyat (18)]

6) Finally……

Think of all that you need to ask Allah for and ask Him now. If you haven’t before, this is the time to connect with Him and feel closer to Him. And when you do during these last ten nights and days of this Ramadan, you would want to do this again and again – even after the month is over.

And finally, when you are in a state of prayers and worship, please open your heart for others as well and please do remember your brothers and sisters in your prayers. Remember what the Prophet said:

“The supplication that gets the quickest answer is the one made by one Muslim for another in his absence.” Reported by Abu Daw’ud and Tirmidhi

But do we really mean what we testify or we just say it because our parents made us to, and that our grandparents also did as their forefathers did for a long time? Why don't we check and figure it out ourself? Learn the proofs and evidences which we can see and do our own research based on the true sources. Learn our history, study the life of our prophet, question everything and ask for Allah's guidance. Let the truth be said and justice prevail.

yesterday Michael Jackson passed away and shocked millions of his fans, they all said pretty much the same thing that we had lost a genius performer the world have ever seen. If it is true that Michael's last religion is Islam and he died as a Muslim, I pray for him and may Allah have mercy on his soul. People die each and everyday whether they are ready or not, infant or toddler, teenager or adult, we cannot escape death. The problem is, are we 100% sure what's going to happen at the day we're going to die? how and when is it going to happen are in the hands of Allah.
I am amazed by the efforts done by the converted Muslim in the western secular country rather than a Muslim born in a Muslim country. It's time for us to take action, not taking for granted that being a Muslim in a Muslim country is enough. We are made into our comfort zones so that we fall asleep. I cannot do this on my own, so let's pull ourselves together and make a change starting from ourselves, our families, neighbors, friends and community. A small effort to awaken Muslim community will soon end up a Muslim country, and these Muslim countries will end up a Muslim world. How nice! but I know it's hard to do it, because if it's easy it has been done long time ago. There will always be resistance to the truth.

How I wish such peace can really come true

'There is no compulsion in religion' meaning the Muslim are not to use any force to make anyone to enter Islam, which in the case of 'Murtad' and 'Munafiq' are completely different. These two types of Muslim have to be warned, fought or taken into action if they are to be detected in early stages. Those who are not a Muslim will never be forced to enter Islam if they didn't wish to as 'Hidayah' is only given by Allah and only Him. No one can simply give anyone such a thing so they can embrace Islam wholeheartedly, meaning it is not our job to ensure people enter Islam but our job is to tell people about the true teachings in our religion and it's up to Allah to pick and choose anyone He wants to give the 'Hidayah' like the one we had in order to be a Muslim.
Allah said in the Quran that the Jews and Christians will never be satisfied with the Muslim so long that we are not living the way as how they wanted to. And Allah also said, in Surah Kafirun, verse 1-6; Say(O Muhammad) to the disbelievers in Allah, I worship not that which you worship. Nor will you worship that which I worship. And I shall not worship that which you are worshiping. Nor will you worship that which I worship. To you be your religion and to me my religion (Islamic Monotheism).
Let there be any hidden agenda in the world but this speech was to me very relieving if and only if all parties accepted to live in a better world. Let's work out our common ground and respect our differences. I'm afraid if we are matured enough to think and do some research with our open minds and hearts, our common ground will be an Islamic world. This is the only thing which had and will make us divided until the end of time. The fear of not continuing the religion of their forefathers even though they knew it was not the truth. Life is too short for us to keep on doing wrong things. If Jews and Christians believed in Zabur, Torah and Bible, believed in Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Jesus and other prophets' and what they were teaching, why can't they believe in Muhammad peace be upon him as the final messenger of God in this world? and to the Quran he was given to from Gabriel, the same angel that brought down the other Holy Books? If the Muslim were to believe in the Torah and Bible as the same story with detailed version was told in the Quran, why don't they believe in it as well? In the Isra and Mikraj event, it is clearly stated that Moses, Jesus and Muhammad were praying together as Muhammad be the 'imam', as an indication for us that Jews and Christians were meant to follow Islam as the completed version of the same religion. Whether they like it or not, we are worshiping the same God, the one God who created this universe and put Adam and Eve and their whole generations in this world to test us whether we're worthy enough to be placed back in the heaven for eternity. Islam means peace!

Thank you very much for inviting me.
I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.
First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe. Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem.
The Europe you know is changing. You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration. All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe. These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.
There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe. With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.
Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam, Marseille and Malmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities. In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims. Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin. In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin. The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity. In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system.. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels, because he was drinking during the Ramadan. Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.
A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.
Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.
The Christian-Democrati c attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey.
Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies, they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.
Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.
The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.
Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission' . Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.
Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.
This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.
The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.
Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West. It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem.
Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

An irreplaceable lost

Indeed we all came from God and to Him shall we return. In this few days, the Muslim world has lost one of its greatest scholars, Sheikh Fathi Yakan at the age of 76. One of his beautiful works is his book 'what is the meaning to being Islam' which were used by many Islamic organizations including which I had joined to set the aim to gain before proceeding in preaching others.
As for us the Malaysian community in the UK, Ustaz Erfino Johari is not an uncommon name. His mother in law had just passed away a few days ago. I pray for them to be rewarded in the hereafter. Let's recite Al-Fatihah for them and may Allah bless their souls. I would like to send my regards and condolences to their families and friends. We all felt the lost and waiting for our time to be there. Al-Fatihah...

Although this video was created in 2007, Sony played it at their executive conference this year. A fantastic video on the progression of information technology, researched by Karl Fisch, Scott McLeod, and Jeff Brenman, remixed. I just want to share it with you since I find it interesting and facts which wakes us from our slumber.

Another video that I'm about to share is more awakening, it's created by a friend of Muslim ie a Christian who felt threatened by increasing Muslim population in the world. He said "Islam will overwhelm Christendom unless Christians recognize the demographic realities, begin reproducing again, and share the gospel with Muslims." I am moved watching this video as it reminds me that the end is almost upon us. The prophet (pbuh) said there will come a time where the Muslim will be oppressed and treated badly. One of the companion ask him is it because we are small in number? The prophet replied No, in fact we are much greater in number like the bubbles in the sea. But most of them have infected with a disease called 'Wahan' aka The love of the world. Oh Allah, if it's true that I will witness the end of time, please spare me and my family from all the fitnah's of the world awaiting which will come silently as a black ant sitting on a black stone in a dark cave during a dark night.

Family gathering 2009 aka camping

Our family gathering (aka camping) this year will be held at Ashworth Valley Campsite. The annual family gathering is a key factor in bonding the friendship amongst our members. As in the past, we are proud to inform that this year's family gathering will be also attended by many non-Malays. This proves that the resident Malay community is not an isolated community but is increasingly playing a bigger role in the British community.

Family gathering is a very important event for Melayu UK members. It is an event for the young and not so young, an event where new friendship is made and old friendship is strengthened, an event for recreation and for intellectual discourse.

The number of second and third generation Malays in our community has increased steadily over the years. This year's family gathering will focus on pro-active role of the Malays in the Britain.

This year we have booked 1 building with basic indoor accommodation and an area for camping. As there will be limited indoor accommodation, participants are requested to bring their own tents.

An adhoc decision

Once again, Cardiff's usrah team had organized a 'Solat Hajat' and Yaasin recitation event successfully. My part in the event as usual was to perform and hopefully relaxing the students' mind away from stressful study. With less than 2 hours of training and no idea of what song to perform initially, we had selected 6 songs randomly and tried to do them medley. Mind you that this group has no name and was spontaneously formed a day before the program. This was the outcome and I hope you all enjoy it, regardless any mistakes done as expected. The first song is a medley from Inteam's collection; 'segenggam tabah' + 'kehidupan'.

The second song is a medley from Raihan's collection; 'demi masa' + 'iman mutiara'.

The third and last song is a medley from Saujana's collection; 'suci sekeping hati' + 'keluarga bahagia'. Good luck and all the best for those who are taking their examination soon. Best wishes for all the final year students whom already excited to go back and serve the country. I would like to thank my friend Syafeeq for his hard work in editing the songs, Fairus for willingly joined the group in the last minute to make it a trio instead of a duet, Islahuddin, Fayadh and Fakri for taking the video, Asmawi for snaping some pictures, and last but not least all the audience for listening.

We managed to listen to a bit 'tazkirah' or reminder from surah Toha which tells us about how Moses was saved by the Pharoah's wife herself and how Allah commanded the angel to tell Moses's mother to put her son into the Nile river in a special basket. The man who designed the basket were about to tell Pharoah about the baby but couldn't say a word by the will of Allah. How the basket runs against the flow of the river and ended in Pharoah's wife garden. Finally Moses was brought up in the same palace the order to exterminate 60 thousand new born baby boy was made. And he touch a bit of the story of Abraham. How Abraham felt nice and cold in the burning fire that burn him. Fire with hot and destructive characteristic are commanded to be pleasant as He wills. This story was cut short due to time constraint but the moral is our whole life is a test. Don't exclude ourselves from other human being in the examination period, just to focus in our study successfully. Try to relax and believe what we have studied and everything else will be decided by God. Miracles happen when you believe, provided you have work hard for it.

Sincerity in religious work

"What kind of man is he? teaching tajwid and charging fees? surely he's not sincere!"
"I don't know what happen to most 'ustaz' nowadays, charging money for their services to teach Islamic education?"
"Nasheedian are not sincere enough because they charge high rates!They can be quite demanding sometimes..."

Have you ever heard these phrases? or have they ever crossed your mind? Let me tell you one thing, all these crap came out from ignorant people who does not know anything about sincerity and believe me when I said they are the majority in our society. Sadly it only comes out to the religious people, meaning that other than these kind of people are free to charge any rate accordingly. Sincere as the dictionary defines it is totally different than in Islamic perspective. 'Ikhlas' in doing our job does not mean you don't take your salary or don't charge a fee to your service. But ignorant people nowadays are using this excuse not to pay the religious people accordingly and force them to sacrifice their potential income. Now answer these questions for me, do we sincerely go to work everyday? Do we receive our monthly income to be spent on our family needs? Are we considered sincere in our job or we're just doing it for the money?
Do we pay expensive fees for our children personal tuition in maths or science and feel hesitated to pay the fees for Islamic education? Is there any difference in terms of hours spent and work done by the tutor to teach them? Its natural that science tutor being paid more because they had to pay more when studying thus they have to earn more to pay back their expenses (loan etc)...Which knowledge are more beneficial for us after we die? Who taught our children to read Quran properly and to love us till the end of time? Who did all the research in how to live life in accordance with Islamic teachings and put it into action?
I have a lot of questions for examples in mind but to write it down in words would use all the space in this post. To make my point clear, people are so skeptical about spending money towards religion and being double standard to people who works for it. Undeniably there are some people taking advantage of using religion to persuade people in business. Firstly we have to know that there's nothing wrong in giving and receiving money for anything related to so-called religion. (If you had read my previous postings, we already discussed about secularism and to be honest, everything in the world is related to religion. Whether you are a politician, scientist, mathematician, policeman, etc...we are all performing 'ibadah'/worship to Allah.) Secondly, Islam prohibits any form of activity that will harm ourselves, therefore providing free service means we have to bear the cost of fuel, toll, labor, tax etc which will put us in a disadvantage position in the long run. Thirdly, we have to know the true meaning of sincerity and don't use it in a wrong concept giving the impression that someone is bad.
As for nasheedian performance as far as I'm concerned, is far more cheaper than other pop or rock artist available. But as usual, to spend RM10 in the mosque seems a lot of money but to spend RM1000 in leisure seems a small amount. Since entertainment industry is still a business, it depends on the demand before the supply can be commenced, hence I sense the demand for Islamic entertainment is not encouraging enough for it may lead to unnecessary nuisance in our ibadah. An understandable dilemma within a Muslim to enjoy themselves in a lawful manner than to restrain themselves from any sort of entertainment whatsoever. This is utterly formidable challenge for the nasheedian to educate people. Unfortunately, only a few people have the opportunity to listen to what I'm saying. So if you are one of the selected, please spread the truth to others and may Allah bless you.
Last but not least, I would like to tell you the danger waiting for these 3 types of people in the hereafter. 1) People who go to jihad, will be question if they do it for wealth or fame (considered a brave patriot etc). 2) People who seek knowledge and read the Quran, will be question if they do it to show that they are more knowledgeable than others, or if they do it to show they are good and pious. 3)People who gives a lot of charity (sedekah/infak), will be question if they do it so others may think that they are generous and loved by humans.
In conclusion, the main difference between a Muslim and non-Muslim is we do everything for the sake of Allah, just because Allah commands it to be done, and most of the commands are best for us whether we knew it or not, but other religion are doing good because of human nature(fitrah) that wants good things to happen. For example, Muslim don't eat pork or drink alcohol because Allah forbids them from doing so, but other religion may also do the same simply because of scientific reasoning that they are not good for our health.

Money really changes people

Today we are friends but tomorrow who knows? A lot of people I heard totally changes in a flash, it's just like meeting a different person. Today they are humble and polite because they feel they have no say just because they are poor, but after they reached a certain level in society and considered as rich, they feel they are unstoppable. They have the power to buy anything, they can do whatever they want, greedy and selfishness conquered their hearts, not feeling sorry for other people and hate to go back to poverty. They feel like they deserve the money because they had worked so hard to get it. Even praying to God is irrelevant, because most people only pray to get rich. If they'd found a magic lamp with three wishes, they would use it to get rich. There's a saying that a successful man is the one who can buy whatever his wife wants and still have much money left for himself, and a successful woman is the one who can find that kind of man. So what is it that is so strong about money? Why do we have to be so dependent on it?
I'm not saying we don't have to find money because we still need it to buy food for living, but all I'm saying is why people are working so hard day and night to find something that will definitely left behind? Why there's no end in finding wealth? Why do people are willing to kill others for it? let alone hurting other peoples' feeling and defying them...wars are made to show whose the most powerful being on earth. Money is not everything but it is something. One thing that matter the most, will it be counted as our good deed in our graves? If the answer is yes, then we have to go all out for it! I really admire rich people who are generous to share their wealth with the poor, inviting the needy to their weddings, sponsor the hopeless orphanage children, etc...but the fact is, that kind of people is so hard to find. If all the rich people pay the zakat, there will be no poverty in the world, provided that all the governments in the world implies the zakat concept which is quite impossible if the world is not dominated by practicing Muslims.
We tend to forget who gives our wealth, we easily forget how we use to be before we're rich, we comfortably spend anything without realizing that it is still a test from Allah. All our wealth will be the burden for us to enter heaven.
One of the the prophet's (pbuh) companion, Saidina Ali once said; Knowledge is better than money for it will take care of you while you need to look after your money, knowledge is better than money for it will be your justification while your money will be put into justice, knowledge is better than money for it will grow much stronger when shared while money will be less and finish when spent.
Let us all be extra cautious in our monetary activities throughout our lives.

Everything we are now were designed and created as a result of the impact we had in our school days. This song reminds me of my school days in SRK Kampung Tunku, PJ, SMKA Maahad Hamidiah, Kajang and IIUM Gombak. The bitter and sweet things which will be restored in my memory forever.

In our desperate times

Recession, recession...this is the word we heard everyday nowadays. So what is recession?

In economics, a recession is a general slowdown in economic activity in a country over a sustained period of time, or a business cycle contraction. During recessions, many macroeconomic indicators vary in a similar way. Production as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment, investment spending, capacity utilization, household incomes and business profits all fall during recessions.

Governments usually respond to recessions by adopting expansionary macroeconomic policies, such as increasing money supply, increasing government spending and decreasing taxation.

In a layman's term, a recession period is the best time to really test ourselves that rizk or livelihood is given by Allah and only Him, not by our ministers, not by our employers, not by any human being. We maybe offered a VSS and out of work today but no one knows who will feed our family at the end of each month. If Allah had made that fortune is for you, then there's nothing in this world who can deny it. Ever wondered how some of the poor families survived with 13 children but some of the rich families are always insufficient even with 1 child? Allah had reserved the rizk for every living creature ever since they are not even exist in the world and those who are grateful in whatever they got will be rewarded to gain more and more. Even a small insect living in a stone has something to eat, so don't get too worried about it. I'm not saying that we don't have to work for it, but after we have work for it, we have to believe that only Allah permits us to get it. Ever wondered why we always got into accidents or our children always got sick or we always threw our food to waste? Now we realized that maybe that part of money was not meant to be ours. It's the rizk of the mechanics and their families or the doctors and their families or even to the pest in the garbage.

I'm not going to touch about how recession happened in the capitalism and Thatcherism (greedy) environment because if every bank in the world apply the Islamic banking, there would not be a recession.

Swine flu, swine flu....everyday we hear people talk about it. So what is it all about? The 2009 outbreak of influenza A (H1N1) virus is an epidemic of a new strain of influenza virus identified in April 2009, commonly referred to as "swine flu." Although the source of the outbreak in humans is still unknown, cases were first discovered in the U.S. and officials soon suspected a link between those incidents and an earlier outbreak of late-season flu cases in Mexico. Within days hundreds of suspected cases, many of them fatal, were discovered in Mexico, with yet more cases found in the U.S. and several other countries in the Northern Hemisphere. Soon thereafter, the U.N.'s World Health Organization (WHO), along with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), expressed concern that the A(H1N1) could become a worldwide flu pandemic, and WHO then raised its pandemic alert level to "Phase 5" out of the six maximum, as a "signal that a pandemic is imminent".

I'm not touching anything about the roots of the problem here because if every one apply Islamic teaching and not breeding the pigs, this problem would not exist in the first place. So you see, Islam is always taking prevention is better than cure. Don't apply interest, don't eat pork or bacon or whatever name we call it, don't drink alcohol, don't get near adultery, and so on so forth. When human are trying to think that they can outsmart God's way, a lot of hideous tragedy will emerge. There's a saying that desperate time needs desperate measures, but I have to say that any desperate measures that we decide to make have to be compliance with the Shariah. Don't commit a crime to feed our children, don't cheat peoples' money to get more, don't swindle our partner to run away from problem...In desperate times, seek help from Allah by being patience and performing prayers. Anyway, we are constantly in desperate needs for Allah blessings. So people, let us all come back to the teachings of Islam... I am urging myself and all of you, it's for your own good.

Entertainment has been an intriguing industry in the world where it can generate income and a lot of youngsters are trying their luck in this field regardless from all sorts of background. Everybody seems to have fond interest in contributing towards entertainment and people doesn't seem to get enough. Nevertheless the so called artist are bound to be in the market only between a decade or two before being made redundant or obsolete. In this period of time, they are supposed to raise enough fund to live for the rest of their lives. Being an artist in a bigger country shouldn't be any problem because if they manage to make 1 hit album, they could already make a fortune out of it. Being an artist in a smaller region in the world tells a different kind of story and it isn't really exciting as other people think it's going to be. You might be in the same office as them or work in the same department, they could be your lecturer, school teacher, doctor, engineer, architect, etc during the day yet they still have to work during the night. We might see them in newspapers or magazines wearing smart 'sponsored' outfits and see them performing with smiles in their faces as though their life is perfect. Well I want to tell you this, it's not! (*sponsored means they have to be returned back)
Art as a whole is a very complicated and subjective area which many people won't understand or more precisely didn't bother to. Only a few passionate people want to associate themselves with art in depth. Thus it is not going to be the same for everyone doing the exact same thing, it's all depends on the luck and the effort put on the work they do.
So the story goes, once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived a man with full ambitious intention to make the world a better place by spreading knowledge through songs and hoping to get Allah's blessings. Before long, he realized that he had been doing so many things for free, yes you read it correctly, free of charge. What kind of mentality does one have to make someone work for free? that's just ridiculous and a mean thing to do to a human. Islam teaches us to pay the salary to our employees even before their sweat got dried. We can understand if a person had already making a lot of money from the job that he's doing, and decided to give away something for free..that's fine. But if he's not making any money out of it and people keep on taking for granted of him, what will happen to him? I know this man was trying to be courteous but it looks like people were taking advantage of using him. So this man gave away a lot of free CD to his colleagues, families, not forgetting the press, tv presenter, radio dj, etc..in short, anyone who asked for free CD will finally somehow got it...leaving this man in debt around 10 grand just for that. Thinking that he can gain back all the money to pay the debt by his show, most of his performance are not paid in full amount as agreed, some of it didn't turn up at all. To make this story even interesting, the recording company didn't pay him a single penny of royalty because they said that unfortunately his album was not sold, everyone are downloading them for free from the internet. Then he said to himself, what a cruel world! This is reality, it's not like everyone live here know about Islam and want to embrace it as him. Time goes by and he is still fighting in that field believing someday, people might change the way they look at him. Someday people will recognize his work and appreciate him a lot more. Worse thing happened, his wife left him because of insecure and couldn't stand supporting him financially. Since he is lacking of experience to work like everyone else, he had no choice but to dedicate his life in the so called multi-million industry, but not making any. Please don't let this happen to your friend.
Some people may think that he was just mismanaging his money or it's his bad luck but I was hoping that after reading this, we will never take advantage from the vulnerable immature people. The moral of the story, firstly, whenever comes a new artist, please don't ask for free CD from him. You can ask his management or the recording company to get one. Please don't bully the enthusiastic novice and pure little boy because he will then felt disappointed to record his next album and you wouldn't be able to listen to him anymore. Please make an effort to pay their expenses even if it's a charity show. Secondly, always have back up plans! Fail to plan is planning to fail, but an idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea, because action speaks louder than words. Finish our degree, masters or phd, take any professional certificate to stay updated and let ourselves marketable. Thirdly, know that human love is limited to wealth, health and other temporary material thing but loving Allah is something everlasting and promising. So love our spouses because of Allah, not for their looks or money. Doing something for Allah and we will never feel disappointed.
Do we really want to see someone so dedicated in his work to break down due to financial pressure? Further more, that person is helping to widespread our religion and giving our children an alternative Halal music to listen to.... In a way, asking CD for free is kind of disrespecting the work of an artist. Did we go to our friend's shop and take anything for free? Can we possibly get someone to do a service for us using merely his talent for free? No, we don't... Do we need to change or can we change? Yes, we can!

Allah said in the Quran, from Surah Luqman [31: verse 13-20] (translation by Yusuf Ali, Pickthal and Shakir)

YUSUFALI: Behold, Luqman said to his son by way of instruction: "O my son! join not in worship (others) with Allah: for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing."

A very old song, recorded in 1997..we are a bit reluctant to claim this one is ours..too many theoretical mistakes here and there...nevertheless, the message becomes the main point. Forgive us for any uncomfortable sound and for the lack of musical knowledge back then.

Be thankful for it is the secret to happiness. Smile and it will lighten the heart. Talk less and listen more is the key to good relationship. Have patience for it builds character. Think good thoughts and you will be young at heart.

Palestine Forum - the first Qiblah

This event took place just after NEXT at Sheffield but I did this entry before NEXT because I'm still waiting for the committee to upload the videos. They are pretty busy with examination at the moment, so I just have to wait a little longer. Patience is a part of 'iman'. Anyway, the forum made by Ust Irfan from Aberdeen was about the first Qiblah for Muslim which is the Masjidil Aqsa in Palestine, he did discussed thoroughly about how it all begin and what is the condition there now. The myth and hidden reality that we should discern as a Muslim. For those who are interested to learn more about it, click here.
So I was there to complete the event by a performance and here goes...I hope you all will enjoy them as I do cherish this moment as one of the last shows in the UK

There was a bit technical problem at first, but the wife of the owner of the canteen in MSD if I'm not mistaken came to the rescue. Taking advantage having Akbar here, I ask him to sing this song with me even though he did not memorize the lyrics anymore. I can understand that he has so many rapping to memorize and for songs like 'keampunan' which have not been performed as many times as the other songs, it would fade away slowly but surely. Please forgive any blunder we've made during the show.

I did a duet with Akbar for the second time in a famous song written by Yasin, Alhamdulillah. As Akbar said, he was still experiencing jet lag until the time he went back to Malaysia 4 days after the event. Congratulations for doing a good job performing at 5 in the morning. Thank you Hafidz (DZ-Soutussalam) and Rizaudin for shooting the videos. Last but not least, thank you very much to Ustaz Erfino again for still believing in me to contribute towards the success of the program. May Allah bless you and your family forever, Ameen...

Delayed event Maal Hijrah

I have been waiting to post these videos for quite some time but couldn't get the time to finish them on time. Sometimes, we just didn't realize how fast time flies. No matter what we do, we never could turn back time. So use our time wisely for it is one of the things that we have to grab before it's gone; being healthy before we're sick, being young before we're old, being rich before we're poor, being free before we're busy, being alive before we're dead. This is a reminder for me especially but if it does remind you too, I am very glad.
The Malaysian in Cardiff are quite active and they held a lot of Islamic events such as the Eid, Maulidur Rasul, Asyura Day, Maal Hijrah and many more. We are quite blessed being here because there are currently 100 Malaysian families approximately not including the single undergraduate and postgraduate student. Cymru pronounced as 'KAMRI' is the name chosen by this nasheed group from the student of Cardiff University because of its uniqueness in the pronunciation and to mark the place they originated. As the capital city of Wales, Cardiff offers an exciting opportunity in education and lifestyle.

Islam: the Way of Perfection

Someone told me to give a comment on an article in a newspaper entitled: 'When nasheed lost its identity.'
To answer this question, I may need to explain from the very beginning for better understanding. As we all know, Allah as the creator of human being is the All Knowing and is acquainted with all things. He knows every needs and desires hidden in our hearts. And He said: “This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor towards you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”(Al-Ma’idah 5:3)
Allah knows the desire of human to have fun and festival, so He gave us not one but two Eids(Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha). He knows man cannot live without a woman and He made adultery prohibited, so He replaced it with marriage. He made alcohol and pork forbidden and replaced them with many other food and drink in the world. The main point is there's always an alternative for Haram with a Halal thing. Islam is a perfect religion, not for one society, or country for one particular time, but it is the perfect religion for all mankind till the end of time. So He knows that some people can't live without any entertainment at all and made some people a good entertainer.
Now we come to nasheed, Nasheed (Arabic: singular نشيد , plural أناشيد)is an Islamic-oriented song, an Islamic vocal music that is either sung a cappella or accompanied by percussion instruments. In general, true Islamic nasheed does not contain lamellaphone instruments, string instruments, or wind and brass instruments, although digital remastering—either to mimic percussion instruments or create overtones—is permitted. This musical style is used because many Muslim scholars interpret Islam as prohibiting the use of musical instruments except for some basic percussion. Many people admire the purity and simplicity of the music. Nasheeds are popular throughout the Islamic World. The material and lyrics of Nasheed usually make reference to Islamic beliefs, history, and religion, as well as current events.
A new generation of "Nasheed" artists use a wide variety of musical instruments in their art. This has caused controversy amongst the Muslim community because of the vast range of scholarly opinions that exist on Music in Islam. These range from absolutely no music and singing, to that of any musical instruments allowed so long as the subject matter is of an Islamic ethos. There is also a crossover of mainstream music of groups, and solo artists, appealing to a significant Muslim crowd and also leading to performance of such artists at Islamic orientated festivals, conferences, concerts and shows. Other artists and organizations promote a 100% instrument free stance with nasheeds, differing from the current trends of the increasing usage of instruments in nasheeds.
Why do I have to tell you all this? Because we need to really understand what is the definition of nasheed. It's not a musical genre rather a concept to apply in music. And then we have to look into what secular means.
Secularism is the assertion that governmental practices or institutions should exist separately from religion and/or religious beliefs.
In one sense, secularism may assert the right to be free from religious rule and teachings, and freedom from the government imposition of religion upon the people, within a state that is neutral on matters of belief, and gives no state privileges or subsidies to religions. In another sense, it refers to a belief that human activities and decisions, especially political ones, should be based on evidence and fact unbiased by religious influence. In its most prominent form, secularism is critical of religious orthodoxy and asserts that religion impedes human progress because of its focus on superstition and dogma versus reason and scientific method.
The term "secularism" was first used by the British writer George Holyoake in 1846. The only reason they need to separate their religion from the worldly affair is because their religion is imperfect! But to us the Muslim, we shouldn't be disconnecting the religion in our daily affairs because our religion tells us every single thing in detail.(with of course a lot of interpretation from the scholars, but it is still prefect as it is).

So if we learned the definition of nasheed, we now understand that theoretically every Muslim who sings must be a nasheed if he/she don't want to belong in the secular group. That is what Allah told and allow us to do. By these definitions, we can already figure out what's the newspapers are making us to believe. I think the Muslim have to study on how to be a Muslim in depth before we can even talk about Islam. As for my personal comment about the matter is, whether or not the nasheedians set their hearts to get blessing from Allah, making a statement that nasheed products should be this way or that way is nonsense. We didn't even need the award in the first place, but getting it is a bonus. Allah equipped human with creativity and we have to use it to tell people the truth, don't ever give up because our enemies never give up telling us lies and trying to make us falling in love with the world. Anything we do, will be open to criticism especially the religious people, but we know that people who wants to comment will never stop giving their comments no matter what we do to try to satisfy them. Don't waste our time compromising peoples' request, we must focus only to satisfy Allah and He is the One who gives 'Hidayah' to whom He wants. After we have done our job as His servant, leave the rest on His side.
Another important point to highlight is that, don't ever think that by doing good, you are better that anyone else, because it's Allah who put the effort in you to do good deeds to guide you through the right path. Never claim anything which we don't possess. Never judge a person whether he/she is going to hell or heaven, these are secrets that only Allah knows. Just be grateful that you still have the Hidayah to embrace Islam wholeheartedly and try to do our job to protect our 'iman' until we meet Him.

I've used most of this post to answer the question that I didn't actually tell you about the songs embedded. The first video is a song from our retro album entitled Raihan. But after Raihan named their group after this song, Brothers who put the same track in their first album had to change its name to 'Mahligai kebahgiaan'. I still remember the time we record this song with our late Zairi from Raihan in OVA's studio, Sungai Penchala. I was in form 2 (13 years old) at that time. However, this is a newly recorded version as a half way project to produce the retro albums which for a certain reason cannot be released to the market.
The second song is the original version in one of the retro albums entitled Kembali. This song was re-recorded by Firdaus in 1999 for their first album and the title changed to 'Keampunan'.

Charity Show @ London

We would like to use the opportunity having Akbar here in the UK to put up a charity show for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. I am going to join him in MSD London on Thursday, the 26th of March 2009, from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm. We hope you all will be participating in the event and donate as much as you can. Don't be hesitated to give away our money for the sake of Allah, just think of it as an investment for yourself in the hereafter, InsyaAllah. We will be surprised of what we think a small insignificant effort would give us in return.

Also performing is a nasheed group from London who called themselves Soutussalam which means the voice of peace. This group is one of the contestants in NEXT Sheffield every year and had made quite an impression every time by composing their own song and stuff. They actually proved that we can still contribute to our Deen and study simultaneously without clashing both of them. In fact, many 'nasheedians' I knew came from this line; the student and academician. I heard they had performed several times in many occasions throughout the UK which made them more popular than me I suppose. I am going to meet them on the 26th and maybe we can make a collaboration in an album, who knows? I want to produce an album consists of all the nasheed groups in the UK who can come up with their own song. Anyone interested please contact me...

the most precious thing in our life

There's one thing in our body which can make us a bad person or a good one depending on it's condition, that thing is our heart. That's why everything we do is depending on what we have set our hearts on, whether for a bad intention or vice versa. When most of the people are busy with their life, less people are taking care of their hearts. Not by eating good food for its health but nourishing it with knowledge and care for it is the only thing that can save us after we die. When I talk about the after-life subject, which people tend to neglect so much whether it is on purpose or not, we can see that people are avoiding this subject to feel good about their life. This feeling is a dangerous one which had been warned by our prophet (peace be upon him) that there will be one time that the Muslims will be huge in numbers but most of them are infected with a devastating disease. And that is 'the love for the world and afraid of death.' Why did the prophet said that devoting ourselves to the world is an illness?
Before the Quran was even written into what we have today, the companion used to memorize them word by word. Later on the Quran was written properly after the Muslim had lost most of the companion committed to memorize the Quran in a war. Those days, the Muslims were like a 'walking Quran' who talks and acts accordingly to its verse and being closely supervised by the prophet himself. Now is the time to re-invent that moment for us to be the new Quranic Generation. We are the one who wants to be in heaven, don't we? Why wait for someone else to make a different?

Every Muslim with even a tiny bit of faith in their hearts will surely enter the heaven. How can we check if we have that tiny bit? There's no one in this world who can guarantee us a place in paradise, but all we can do is to constantly be reminiscent to each other about the main purpose of being a Muslim. And for that, I would like to thank all of my friends who keeps on jogging my memory to be a better Muslim every single day. How dare we misused the gifts that Allah had blessed for us and returning it to Him not as the way we got it. Anyway, let's find a way to increase our iman day by day and to cover back our duties that we had abandoned all these times to finally grasp the true sweetness until we die for the sake of Allah. One can never be adequate for such a great task, therefore I am enrolling you to join forces with us to ensure ourselves a greater future. May Allah helps the one who helps His religion.

it's a you AND me world

We've been thought since the beginning of time that this world is a cruel thing which any opportunity arose either got by you or me, one of us have to sacrifice. One of us have to be a victim in any situation. That is our paradigm brought down by generations. But we never thought about that the other way round, one doesn't have to be a victim and always complaining about something, rather we can make something to change the way of anything to the way that is satisfactory to all. We never thought that by making someone else successful, we will be successful as well. The world might just work in a you AND me environment rather than you OR me. By being responsible for what you do and said, you can create a new realm of possibilities around you and not always be a victim of the system you're in.
What would you do if somebody's telling you that there's one thing you can do and would receive a reward which has not seen by any eyes, not heard by any ears nor thought by any human thinking, beyond the imaginable depiction.

What if someone's telling you that the prophet is coming to see you? What is it like to be in our prophet's time? Would we be a follower or not? Just a thought to make we realize how different we are compared to the companions' life in the glorious time of our prophet.

there is no secret ingredient

"One can say that life is 'empty and meaningless' simply because we are a 'meaning making machine' from the day we born until the day we die. There's not one time we do something that is not either our 'rackets' or our 'strong suits'. And the truth is that you're not even listening to what I'm writing but you're responding to your filter created by you in your head-the already always listening."

There's a lot of difference if you see the world not as you've being seeing it all these while. For example, if you want to be happy, don't wait to get the happiness comes from someone else like your husband or wife, parents or families. You are the one who have the key to your own happiness by sharing your happiness to them. You need to make yourself happy and bring the energy within your social community to make them happy, then your happiness will be fulfill and content. Don't go and marry someone to find your happiness from your spouses, but bring your happiness to them. What you give you get it back...it really does!
All your thoughts of the right and wrong things are not actually yours, it's just your interpretation of life. If we can let it all go, what do we have? nothing! and what is the opposite of nothing? Everything! We can create our own possibilities by just believing in ourselves. Does a university's degree guaranteed us a job? No,they don't! It's you getting the job. If the whole world tries to stop you from getting your bit which Allah has reserved for you in this world, they would have failed. And if the whole world tries to help you to get something that Allah didn't meant to be yours, they would also failed.
People always been afraid of these 3 things; wealth, health and marriage. Undoubtedly, these are the 3 most discussed area in our whole life. But as a Muslim we are blessed with the knowledge that there's nothing we can do to change them. (Maybe someone have just disagreed with me by now). Think about it this way, at the end of the day, we are all going to be judge on how we live our life in hereafter right? Do we pray to be born as royals? or even having a beautiful face? No we don't! There are just gift and at the same time a test from Allah, if you still don't get what I'm trying to say. What we have, who are we going to marry and when we are going to die had been pre-destined for us before we are born. All we have to do is to make sure we use all we've got for the sake of Allah.
Sometimes, I just wonder how the prophet did to implant faith into the companion until they actually wanted to die for the sake of Allah. How did they think about this life that they can just ignore the beauties and pleasure, and moreover they don't really go for the rewards they would get in the heaven, but only for the gratification of Allah. How did they retained the high motivation throughout their lives. I really longed to see that kind of environment once before I die.

The quoted sign sentences above are jargon used by a training I got recently. It was not an absolute breakthrough though as I already knew most of the concepts but I just want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to experience the 3 days course in Bristol. I will be going to the 10 days seminar of the same training starting next week and I hope I can get something out of it. Someone can be our teacher even if he or she thought us only one simple thing, what if that someone had thought us so many things? How in the world are we going to repay that someone? Only God can reward the sacrifice made by our teachers by limitless profits in the hereafter because their will to spread knowledge are going to benefit them as long as the knowledge still beneficial in this world. And my deepest respect to the teacher of all the teachers in the whole universe, our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW (peace be upon him). The most perfect creation ever lived in this world to be copied by all.

there are no accident

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift, that's why it's called the present. We always worry so much about our past and our future which makes our present not so effectively being what we should be doing. In Solat, we are trained to be focus (khusyu') and be present when we're doing it and while we're doing it. It makes a lot of difference in our life if we can practice what we do in the Solat outside the Solat, what we read in the Quran out in our daily routine. I'm telling this to myself that if we go for the worldly affairs, it won't go anywhere, there's no end to it, but if we go for Islam, the world will surely come to you, and there will be relaxation and satisfaction in what you do. Everything that had happened to us is meant to happen in a way that we find our Creator and submit ourselves to Him and only Him.
I am responsible to do whatever I've said and if anyone seeing me doing against my sayings, please remind me for I am an ordinary human being, and being a human means we always forgetting and need to be reminded.

I am very worried and sad about the world nowadays. We are not supposed to be angry with the ignorant people, rather pity for them not getting 'hidayah' from Allah but I am very confused with the so called Muslim who didn't practice the teachings of their own religion to its fullest. Are they not thinking clearly or too full of themselves that they decided not to follow Allah's commands? Is this the world that I want to raise my son into? It doesn't take too much intelligent to comprehend Islam, it's the easier way of life for all humanity, not exclusively to any particular tribe or race or country...I am not a 'sheikh'(scholar) giving 'fatwa' or whatsoever, but I am just doing my part to make the world a better place to live. How much longer do we have to tolerate all this shenanigans to go on? Let's put ourselves together to fight this madness...so who's with me?

Words couldn't really describe how much tears had dropped, how much sorrow felt and lonely we are without our parents. We are so much in debt with them, that we can't afford loosing them before we can pay back as much as we could. But we come to realize that they are also human being created by God, borrowed by God to us temporarily to be our ultimate test. Parents can both be a blessing to gain reward and the door to a greater sin to be punished later on. It would be nice to still have a father and mother to turn up to, who don't get envy even a bit with your success, who really want us to be better than themselves, the one we can talk openly without any secrets, or share our feelings, bitter and sweet. Oh Allah, the owner of all the blessings, I pray for You to let my mother be happy on the other side, peacefully rest with Your Mercy. And when I come to join her, please let my son remember me in his prayers everyday. Please don't leave me alone in the darkness with no help.

My wife and I shared a quite similar story about our mothers. Our grandmothers passed away followed by our mothers after a few years. Hope they all are doing well and we still missed them and surely will follow their footsteps sooner or later. For those who still have parents, please don't wait until it's too late to be nice with them. Apologize immediately if we have any mistake that hurt their feelings, it's your mother, and your mother, and then still your mother comes first before your father. Your mother is your key to enter the heaven, you'll get more chance of a place in paradise if your parents are pleased with you...think about it...it's not worth it to fight our parents over something so vague and intangible than to loose our chance to be in an eternal life in heaven. Life is short as if the period between the Athan and Iqamah, that's why Athan are supposed to be whispered in the ears of a new born baby and we are being prayed after we die. It's that short...and within that short period of time we are suppose to think how actually are we going to survive in the hereafter, that's it!
I still can't believe that my mother had passed away, sometimes it feels like she is still here, but we must grow up and live with it, so help me God!

Music is just a tool!

Surprisingly I'm not a music lover...I don't actually listen to music...I never bought a music CD in my life...I have a few which I got it for free:) I can't call myself having a deep passion in music...but I'm not saying I don't like music...All I wanted to say is that we should all aware it by now that music is just a tool...not a means to find peace in our heart. It can bring (the idea of)hatred and it can also bring (the idea of) love. Many people didn't believe me when I said I don't always listen to music because I have been a recording artist with many albums all these years. Yes, you read it right, I don't really listen to music to find peace. I do it just to study and manipulate it into my experiments. I use them as a reference to train my vocal and that's it. It's not a necessity in life where we have to listen to music every day, or even every hour like some people.
I'm not a multi-talented musician who can play all the instruments but I am gifted not being a tone deaf. Is that something I pray to get? No...it's a gift and at the same time a test from Allah for me, whether I want to use it as a bad thing or otherwise. People are born with different gifts to be the means of getting to know our Creator. It is not a thing to be proud or ashamed of, it's a test of loyalty and allegiance to Allah. Sadly artist nowadays are being idolized by many, without realizing the danger lies behind the culture and lifestyle being brought together within the community from early age and are being consistently absorb and accepted as a normal behavior by the youngsters. Oh Lord, I seek refuge from being into the same ship as the others who let themselves be idolized and made a huge contribution towards the misleading information from God's true path.

Many had already knew about how Mirwana and Brothers are connected. Mirwana was originally a nasyid group from SMKA Maahad Hamidiah, Kajang...formed by Yasin when he was 15. The name was the idea of Yasin Sulaiman himself, named after his little brother Marwan. Brothers is Mirwana's senior in school days. They were the one to be feared or force to respect if you don't want to get bullied. After leaving school, Yasin formed another group called the 'Brothers'. Let's just look at this similar scenario happening to Brothers and Mirwana. Brothers consists of 4 people; Yasin, Salleh, Syah and Faiz. (Salleh was not from Maahad).Yasin left the group and make a solo album and won the AJL in 2001. He had been so successful since then leaving Brothers with Salleh, Syah and Faiz. They took Akbar as Yasin's substitute to proceed with the group. Later on, Syah were focusing on Mirwana and left the group. They took Halim as Syah's substitute. Now that Halim continued his studies in Australia and Akbar went solo, Brotherz now left with Salleh and Faiz. Then they decided to reunite back in an album called 'Kembali bersatu'...
Mirwana consists of 5 people; Izzat, Hafiz, Akmal, Along, Faizal. (Faizal was not from Maahad). Faizal left the group and join OIAM and won many awards. He had been so successful since then leaving Mirwana with Izzat, Hafiz, Akmal and Along. Later on, Akmal starts focusing on Varian. Izzat went to the UK and Mirwana had to take Naim and Ikram as a replacement.
Is this all just a coincidence? will they be joining back together in the future? who knows...

Prior to his arrival, he was in Cairo where he conducted Islamic Medical Treatment courses and held mobile clinics targeting Malaysian students (Islamic Studies and Medical students). studying there Some disturbing figures that were obtained from the mobile clinics are as below:

Students with sihir (black magic) cases: 114
Students with jinn affliction: 153
Students suffering from severe stress/depression: 48
TOTAL number of student with problems: 325 (about 27%)
Egypt has about 8,000 Malaysian students and with an assumption that 27% of them have similar problems, this will translate to 2,160 students. The Malaysian embassy in Cairo were equally alarmed with the figures.
We have not done this scale of jinn-screening in the UK amongst Malaysian students and their dependencies. It may turn out that the figures are equally alarming.

the end of a new beginning

These 2 songs were supposed to be in our second album, but because of time limitation and marketing strategy by our former recording company(Supra 7), they had these songs compiled as a repackaged version with a new cover album featuring only 4 of our member since Faizal left the group. I will tell you insyaAllah how we met each other and how it all begin...until we are in the situation that we're in...with the latest version you wouldn't get anywhere else...
Now that we are an independent group with no label, so Supra 7 and Universal Music are out of the story...I can definitely say that the repackage album was the end of a new beginning...
Anyway,even without a proper contract we can still do our job...which is to spread the true meaning of the teaching of our religion to the world.
This song is about the most essential key in the pillars of Islam, which is the prayer. Why did I say that? Because this is the one and only command that Allah gave the prophet directly not through the angel Jibril/Gabriel...the prophet had to be prepared physically and mentally before the event took place, and was taken to the highest level of the heaven (Sidratul Muntaha) a place where not even the angels can simply go and meet the Lord. This practice is the only thing that separates a Muslim and non-Muslim, the first thing that will be ask in our graves, the way to solve problems, how we connect with God, the protector from doing sins and many more...We may have heard this points many times before, but couldn't really grasp the true objective in performing it. For example, in the solat..we actually do all the 5 pillars in Islam...1. we did recite the testimony of faith (2 words of Shahadah), 2. Solat came in the second place, 3. we did not eat and drink during Solat, in a way are actually fasting... 4. we did spend our time and energy for the sake of Allah to do it, in a way of giving Zakat...5. we did the Solat heading towards the Kaabah in Makkah where we actually did when performing hajj/pilgrimage...
and by performing Solat, we are actually practicing our 6 pillars of faith...1. we did believed in the Oneness of God, 2. we did believed in the angels who brought the messages from God to the prophets, 3. we had already believed in all the prophets sent by God, because the Solat was only done by the prophet, not prescribed in the Quran 4. we believed in the books (Torah, Zabur, Injil, Furqan), 5. we believed in the hereafter, because if not, we wouldn't pray at all.. 6. we did believe the pre-destination by God whether it is good or bad.
Thus by searching the right way to perform this obligatory practice, we had discovered so many unrevealed answers which is the true meaning of the religion... the important of having knowledge! Allah said in the first ayah in Quran: "Proclaim! in the name of Thy Lord and Cherisher who created"
For example, to perform the Solat, we have to learn the history and literature.. because nobody in our time had actually met the prophet, all we have is his Sunnah.. we have to search the direction of the kiblat , which brings us to geography and astronomy, before and during the Solat, we have to be clean which brings us to medicine, science and biology.. the numbers of rakaats and the exceptional things that cater the one in journey and the sick brings us to mathematics...in order to build the place of worship so called the mosque brings us to architecture, the need to teach others about the way to perform Solat brings us to art and technology, to prepare the means of traveling to Masjidil haram brings us to engineering and a whole lot more! this is only a mere example that I could think of at this time...I think human beings aren't just capable to think beyond what Allah have prescribed for us, if we want to write it down in a paper using the sea as the ink, we will fail to do so even if a double size of the sea of ink came to refill the pen we use to write it down.

If you had notice the achievements that we got only came from 2 songs, 'hikmah kembara' and 'aku tanpa cintaMu'...it was a successful experiment made by us as a team with the producers, so we were thinking to make another hit just like those 2...so these 2 new songs were specifically composed using the same mood as the previous hit. So if a duet with a veteran hit the pot, what if we do a duet with a new comer? what kind of impact do the song have...after all, we are just trying to convey the message to people, if the message is not delivered properly, then what is the point of delivering...if you know what I'm saying....
anyway, this song is about a person who is dying and wants to repent all his wrongdoings for his entire life...it's the scariest thing ever going to happen to all of us...whether we are prepared or not, young or old...no one is going to escape death...let's face it my brothers and sisters...one day, we will not be here to see the world... so let us be prepared in whatever way that we can...

NEXT09 Sheffield

NEXT at Sheffield started in 2005, which of course I could not join as I was still in Malaysia. I didn't manage to come to the second and the third as well because my mother was sick back home, so I had to go back. Last year I did came to NEXT08 with the 'Cymru' team. Camouflaging behind the contestant, I was hardly recognized by the organizer until Ustaz Erfino invited me to the VIP room. I realized that one of the contestants was a recording artist from the group 'Nur Irsyad'. I saw many talented individuals with a very bright future and a pleasant personality. I got to snap a picture with Hamza Robertson, the guest artist..he said that I look very familiar... I don't know whether he's just saying it out of the blue or he really meant it.
Anyway, for this year insyaAllah, I will be coming to NEXT09 with Akbar on the 15th of March... Please show your support to our Muslim community event by attending and don't forget to bring your families and friends. It's an annual event we rarely got the chance to see in the UK.

I don't know how to react to this situation where I am not there to be with my friends. It's a complicated feeling overwhelming between happy, sad and excited combined. It's still awkward to think of it, but when all is said and done... there's nothing I can do about it. It's good they choose not to wait any longer, because people hate waiting...I will keep you updated with the upcoming videos from Mirwana and please stay tune...thank you!

My (wife's) best friend's wedding

I am flattered to find someone acknowledging me to perform on her wedding and specifically demanded two of the most audacious songs to sing especially by me. Although I've received many unpleasant comments from people in front and the back of my face, I find it hard to refuse the request as I can kill two birds with one stone. With the knowledge that I never could've perform these songs elsewhere because of who I am, I get to challenge myself to give it a go in public. I wish someday nasyeed songs could've been composed as high quality as these songs so that we won't be undermined from the main stream media. If you'd notice I'm still wearing my graduation 'hat' as to remind me that I as the student of the International Islamic University, had solemnly pledge under oath that I will perform my obligatory daily prayers regularly....proper covering of the 'aurah'...promoting good and forbiding evil....and the list goes on...People just worried if I'm going to become a pop artist leaving behind the nasyeed industry which I don't intend to do nor will I leave any of my clothes off.

I think justice is to put something in its place, and these songs are dedicated for two people loving each other, and marriage is the sacred form of ibadah (munakahat). The pure love between man and woman is only permissible for husband and wife and strictly prohibited to the unmarried couples. Therefore, those who are in that category, these songs aren't really suitable to avoid unnecessary time wasting. Due to these circumstances, I had justified my action not against any sharia' law and I am promoting people who are ready and afford to get married as soon as possible especially for those who are above 25 years old. What are you waiting for? this is the only thing you have to do if tomorrow is your last day. A fact yet controversial statement to provoke others...insyaAllah

Nasyeed Extravaganza Ireland

It's been snowing all night yesterday, reported to be the heaviest snow in the UK in 18 years. Thousands of roads closed and people can't go to work and schools aren't open as well. It's a beautiful white day for the students to play outside making snow man, sliding down the hills, or snapping some pictures. This is only a small fraction of God's attributes for mankind to ponder about His absolute sovereignty.
I found this video in youtube and want to share it with you. It's my first time in Galway...hope you like it...

Actually I don't like giving comments right after a performance like a reality show thingy, because relatively my comments will contribute towards the audience votes to choose who's their favourite group to be the winner, but if I must, I must.

For Atap Hijau: They had a sense of humor in introducing their group. Both vocalists have beautiful voices. Back up vocals could sing in unison. The whole performance was very touching and had a lot of unpredictable gimmick.
For the solo performance: Obviously very brave and confident attempt. I can understand that it's hard to hear our voice without any monitor, but it's a good effort, well done!
For Munawwar: They did a nice intro and outro and they were the first performance with tight harmonizing noting that they definitely have some knowledge in music. Although it's not perfect, we can see the effect of a lot of training, may be too much towards the end until the tiredness shows. All I can say that this group is on a different level of the understanding of vocal projection.

For Gema galway: they have made a good song selection because it suits all the different vocal range in the group. They were very sporting and very entertaining. I like the group, I could tell that they are close friends.
For UCD Band: I had never seen a nasyeed band like this before, at least not at university level. You guys were brilliant! Honestly, I did enjoyed myself and quite excited to hear more from them. They were truly a very talented doctors.
For 7th note: This was one of the reasons I'm afraid of being a judge, despite being open to criticism, there could be someone out there who could sing my song better than me. What else could I comment? It's a good show, well done! and keep it up... Hope to see you soon...and Congratulations!
I just want to make something clear, not because 7th note sang my song they did won the first place, because the marks was 60% from the judges and 40% from the audience. Anyway, congratulations to all the winners and well done to all the committees for this great event.

quite spontaneous

I am currently waiting for the videos of NEXT-iere in Galway, so let me share with you some of my special featured songs made a couple of years back. These are not songs from any album but composed for a specific event back home.

the first video is an event for Maulidur Rasul held in Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. I still remember the time I got back from the Stadium I had an accident, someone hit me from the back and run, the funny thing is the car in front of me pulled over and asking me why did I knocked his car? I said "when did I hit you? I was the one who got hit!" It's interesting to find many kinds of people when you're in the road.
The second video is a videoclip made by JAKIM for 'AidilAdha' program. The location for the video was held at Bukit Tinggi, near Janda Baik. It was a bit like French kind of setting with Christmas decoration and all...not quite suitable for 'a pilgrimage style' though but the producer must have something in mind we don't know...

I guess some of you might have heard this song before. It's a song from the album 'Doa Harian' by Shahir. I really enjoyed the time we shoot for this video in Summerset Villa, Rompin. Shahir was still in his primary school at the time of the album launched. His manager have a really high hopes for him.

this song was supposed to be the first big step into the local music industry as BMG's recording artist, but BMG had to merge with SONY music, and Warner didn't seemed to be interested in signing us up. Long story cut short, we signed up with Universal Music a fews years after that. This song was the only newly recorded song compiled in the 'Junjungan Mulia II' album, so the time was very limited for us (from different universities) to completely perfected it at our own unpressurized environment, if you know what I mean...Luckily our producer, Syah Rizal from Brothers helped out with his vocal parts. So it was supposedly written as Mirwana featuring Syah Rizal...

Ever heard of Ust Amal before?the featured vocalist in Raihan's first album 'Puji-Pujian' by the song entitled 'AsSolatu wassalam'. He was superb! That's all I can say...wonder how is he doing now...Before I forgot, this song was re-recorded by NowSeeHeart a year after because the composer thought that it didn't got the push it had to. Well, I guest when a composer entrusted us with their song, it certainly meant something more to them than just being released in someone's album. Some of them think the song have a soul, which I think is not an appropriate word to use, the song can go as far as it does because of the livelihood that Allah has granted for the people working for the song and their families...someone else might composed a song quite similar to the top ones but never did as far.

although I'm not with them at the moment to record the new song, my spirit will always be there to support and encourage their efforts to preach the true meaning of the religion widespread. This is not the official video clip, but here goes...

I would like to think that these songs were dedicated to me though, nevertheless it was meant to be for all the generous fans who didn't stop supporting us for whatever happens inside and outside the country.

moments to be missed

only God knows how I felt at these times...all the pressure and adrenaline boosted in one blow... after all you're only carrying out the group's reputation, image and the peoples' expectations :) It should sounded better if I'm not worrying too much about perfecting my vocal projection.
As you may not notice that I never attended any award ceremony other than ACNI, including those which Mirwana won in AE and a couple of ABPBH and AIM. Nothing to do with the event but it's just me being paranoid after the late 'Zairi Ahmed', our mentor from Raihan died in Genting Highlands in one of AE if I'm not mistaken. I would never want to die in a place like that...Nau'zubillahi min zalik...but these 2 performances were exceptional because Mirwana was insisted to perform in AIM after a rather controversial winning in AE04 in 2 categories...the board decided to introduce Mirwana to Malaysia...It's a wonderful experience to follow the tour for AIM and ABP every year...cruising on Naza Kia up to the Northern until the Southern part of the peninsular...never had the chance to go to Sabah or Sarawak...

And the board decided again to put Mirwana forward with JayJay in ABPBH after winning 1 category in AE05. Luckily JayJay was available because we were suppose to perform in AE05 but he had a show in Brunei which was booked much earlier.

JayJay was not available again in ACNI05 so we had to find a back up plan and found Nash who was willing to help us out. I flew all the way from UK to be there which I think worth an effort for Mirwana had won 4 categories in that award ceremony. Nominated in ABPBH and AIM the same year but not fortunate enough to be the winner. We don't actually expected anything because we're still novice in the industry and felt that there's more work to be done before any acknowledgment deserved. We did won 3 awards from AE05 and AE06 but I didn't have the video for you to view, which made all our achievements were coming only from the local radio station. Surely there's something more to do before winning the hearts of the audience, striving hard day and night was just not compensating to the hours spent towards the betterment of the quality we need to deliver. And now here I am, far away from these kind of life, not sure whether coming back is a good idea...

this video was an event for EidulFitr, live recorded by TV3 during Ramadhan. I still remember we stop to break our fast and continue the shooting. Ramli Sarip was there too...he was among the early birds arriving on location. Who else...Aflin Shauqi, Adibah Noor and us. One thing about entertainment industry, they never keep on schedule...always dragging and waiting for another person and resulting the rest of the crew working late. As a consequence, they are not much a morning person, which is bad for our health I must say...

I just want to share with you one of my first experience shooting for a commercial video clip. These are the only 2 clips which we had under Universal Music's budget. How much do you think these videos cost? Those were the days where artist still can't get a hold of the industry as a whole just yet. There were a lot of middle man playing extremely big part in the industry controlling every single move, until the nasyeed wave stroked where no logical explanation can be made. The demand for it keeps on coming eventhough they didn't get much airtime or promotion or whatsoever. It's a phenomenon where artist can do everything by themselves right before recording, song and lyric composing, mixing, mastering, launching, promotion, video clips, publishing house and some of them even do the distribution on their own. It's a revolution that killed the industry in a way, it shut down the major expensive studios and create more affordable home suite studios around the town. It made the international label closed down it's local departments, cds and cassettes are not selling because it's time for streaming online and download era, artist can't live depending only from their album's royalty because they are not sold, live shows are hard to find if you're not popular and many more. Then came the major recession period which is happening about once in a century. What sort of product do you think will come from this kind of motivation? Either way we see it, nasyeed scene still didn't get the full attention of the main stream media. I mean seriously, how many times did you guys see these 2 clips in the tv?

I am so delighted to be honored on that occasion. It really felt like it's all coming back to me now...

For those who were unable to perform Hajj this year, I strongly recommend that we fast a day before 10 Dzulhijjah, because the reward is extraordinary great which is to be sin-free for the whole year before and the year after. Just imagine we did this every year... is there any sin left with us before we meet our Lord in hereafter? Have a joyful Eid without neglecting our most essential duty as Muslims which is to promote good and forbid evil.... Eid Mubarak to all and don't forget to make takbir each time after our daily prayer until Asr the 13th Dzulhijjah... May God bless us all and forgive our sins...

19. Keep your gazes lowered devoid of any lecherous leers and salacious stares [24/30-31, 40/19].

20. If you do not have complete knowledge about anything, better keep your mouth shut. You might think that speaking about something without full knowledge is a trivial matter. But it might have grave consequences [24/15-16]

21. When you hear something malicious about someone, keep a favorable view about him/her until you attain full knowledge about the matter. Consider others innocent until they are proven guilty with solid and truthful evidence [24/12-13]

22. Ascertain the truth of any news, lest you smite someone in ignorance and afterwards repent of what you did [49/6]

23. Do not follow blindly any information of which you have no direct knowledge. (Using your faculties of perception and conception) you must verify it for yourself. In the Court of your Lord, you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and the faculty of reasoning [17/36].

24. Never think that you have reached the final stage of knowledge and nobody knows more than yourself. Remember! Above everyone endowed with knowledge is another endowed with more knowledge [12/76]. Even the Prophet [p.b.u.h] was asked to keep praying, "O My sustainer! Advance me in knowledge." [20:114]

25. The believers are but a single Brotherhood. Live like members of one family, brothers and sisters unto one another [49/10].

26. Do not make mockery of others or ridicule others [49/11]

27. Do not defame others [49/11]

28. Do not insult others by nicknames [49/11]

29. Avoid suspicion and guesswork. Suspicion and guesswork might deplete your communal energy [49/12]

30. Spy not upon one another [49/12]

31. Do not backbite one another [49/12]

32. When you meet each other, offer good wishes and blessings for safety. One who conveys to you a message of safety and security and also when a courteous greeting is offered to you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous or (at least) of equal courtesy [4/86]

33. When you enter your own home or the home of somebody else, compliment the inmates [24/61]

34. Do not enter houses other than your own until you have sought permission; and then greet the inmates and wish them a life of blessing, purity and pleasure [24/27]

35. Treat kindly " Your parents " Relatives " The orphans " And those who have been left alone in the society [4/36]

36. Take care of " The needy, " The disabled " Those whose hard earned income is insufficient to meet their needs " And those whose businesses have stalled " And those who have lost their jobs. [4/36]

37. Treat kindly " Your related neighbours, and unrelated neighbours " Companions by your side in public gatherings, or public transportation. [4/36]

38. Be generous to the needy wayfarer, the homeless son of the street, and the one who reaches you in a destitute condition [4/36]

39. Be nice to people who work under your care. [4/36]

40. Do not follow up what you have given to others to afflict them with reminders of your generosity [2/262].

41. Do not expect a return for your good behaviour, not even thanks [76/9]

42. Cooperate with one another in good deeds and do not cooperate with others in evil and bad matters [5/2]

43. Do not try to impress people on account of self-proclaimed virtues [53/32]

44. You should enjoin right conduct on others but mend your own ways first. Actions speak louder than words. You must first practice good deeds yourself, then preach [2/44]

45. Correct yourself and your families first [before trying to correct others] [66/6]

46. Pardon gracefully if anyone among you who commits a bad deed out of ignorance, and then repents and amends [6/54, 3/134]

47. Divert and sublimate your anger and potentially virulent emotions to creative energy, and become a source of tranquility and comfort to people [3/134]

48. Call people to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful exhortation. Reason with them most decently [16/125]

49. Leave to themselves those who do not give any importance to the Divine code and have adopted and consider it as mere play and amusement [6/70]

50. Sit not in the company of those who ridicule Divine Law unless they engage in some other conversation [4/140]

51. Do not be jealous of those who are blessed [4/54]

53. When invited to dine, Go at the appointed time. Do not arrive too early to wait for the preparation of meal or linger after eating to engage in bootless babble. Such things may cause inconvenience to the host [33/53]

54. Eat and drink [what is lawful] in moderation [7/31].

55. Do not squander your wealth senselessly [17/26]

56. Fulfil your promises and commitments [17/34]

57. Keep yourself clean, pure [9/108, 4/43, 5/6].

58. Dress-up in agreeable attire and adorn yourself with exquisite character from inside out [7/26]

59. Seek your provision only by fair endeavour [29/17, 2/188]

60. Do not devour the wealth and property of others unjustly, nor bribe the officials or the judges to deprive others of their possessions [2/188]

Welcome to my first blog ever which is properly made and updated. I am new to the blogging world, so still learning to catch up wherever is needed. I don't intend to write my daily diary in this blog, nor will I put my scheduled personal plans.
